AVESTA ART I GRUPPUTSTÄLLNINGEN – OF THINGS UNSEEN
ÄNDRADE TANKAR – MOTSTÅND OCH IMMA
TREKANALIGT VIDEOVERK
23 maj – 14 september
Verket/ Avesta Art

LILITH ARTIST DUO AT AVESTA ART
Altered Thoughts – Resistance and Haze
THREE-CHANNEL VIDEO WORK
May 23 – September 15
Verket/ Avesta Art
During Avesta Art, artist duo Lilith presents the three-channel video work Altered Thoughts – Resistance and Haze, a piece exploring the individual’s longing for rebirth in relation to the collective need for ritual intimacy and care. In a non-narrative progression, we find ourselves in a state where events, encounters, and temporalities unfold side by side, interwoven and outside of linear time.
The video work is based on the total performance Min totala njutning (My Total Pleasure), filmed as an independent video piece. The performance was presented live at Lilith Performance Studio in Malmö in November 2022 and at the Swedish Performing Arts Biennale in Stockholm in 2023.

A funeral procession of people of different ages slowly moves through the museum’s halls, carrying two oversized body parts.
The piece is a ritual tribute to the physical and mental variations and imperfections of our bodies—those we must navigate daily in order to move through life. The procession pauses occasionally as a girl sings absurd poetic lines about the body and its functions to the audience.
The artist duo LILITH creates visual worlds through intuitive, collage-like processes where performance, film, text, sound, and sculptural installations interlace. Their work revolves around internal human states and drives, investigating the rituals and ceremonies we follow to function and be accepted within a group.
Through performances that address community, belonging, and exclusion, LILITH builds their works as living images.
Their foundation lies in universal human questions—love, longing, and grief—driven by a desire to penetrate the viewer’s consciousness like a subtle noise, a hope of understanding what it means to be human.
LILITH is the artist duo Elin Lundgren and Petter Pettersson.
They have worked together in visual and performing arts in various forms since 1999.
In 2007, they founded the acclaimed performance space Lilith Performance Studio.
